- The USB to RS485 converter box is used to communicate between a PC running Toolpath and an AMC machine controller.  This device plugs into a USB port on the PC and converts the communication signal to RS485 which can be then connected to the AMC controller. 

- The AMC connection board provides power to the machine’s drives, makes the connections to the drives and sensors, as well as providing power to the AMC itself.

- The AMC Flash Board fits on either AMC004G or AMC004H AMC controllers. This device holds both the operating system and the jobs on 4 Mbytes of memory.

- Motor Overload Protectors are not used on the control panels but are installed on all contactors controlling pumps, drills, and other peripheral device motors. 
- These devices ensure that a motor does not overheat and start a fire; so it is vital the correct device is used and it is set properly.  Motor overload protectors are available in a number of sizes and “ranges”.
-The current range must be set to 25% higher than the rated motor current that is printed on the motor nameplate.
- Please note that if you are replacing an older contactor or overload to one of these new ones, both must be changed. 

-The Heavy Duty Bridge Rectifier is recommended for systems with more than 4 stepper drives (multi head machines) as well as machines that have had problems with the bridge rectifiers failing.

- The newly constructed Phenolic Pressure Foot Donut is now blind (top-down) mounted.
- Our new blind mount donut replaces the old bottom-up design and fits all AXYZ High Capacity Pressure Feet.

- Glass fuses are used to protect sensitive electronics where required.  The glass fuse holders will generally have a spare fuse in them.  Replace the spare fuse when it is used.  


Ceramic fuses are installed on the drive power board and are used to protect individual motor drives.
1.       Stepper drives are protected using 5 Amp ceramic fuses.
2.       Servo drives are protected using 10 Amp ceramic fuses

- Braking resistors are used to absorb the power generated by decelerating spindles.
- Braking resistors allow an inverter to stop spindles much faster and safer.

- Spindle plates are designed to mount the various sizes and types of spindles to the Z axis of the CNC machine.
